Barbara S. Frazier, L.C.S.W.

Ms. Frazier received her Master's in Social Work in 1979 from Florida State University and has been working with families and children for more than twenty years. For the past thirteen years, she was the Director of the Child Abuse Prevention Project administered by the University of Florida's Department of Pediatrics. As the leader of this program, she was intimately involved in developing parenting education programs and providing extensive education to other staff and the community at large about parenting. She has also been involved in the writing and administration of federal grant programs designed to help parents with young children in accessing necessary pediatric care. Her work has included helping adoptive and foster parents as well as new parents, single parents, and stepparents. She has an expertise in conducting play therapy with children and coaching parents with all facets of child rearing. She currently maintains a private practice where she works individually with adults, parents, and children, and also conducts marital and family therapy. Ms. Frazier is a member of the Academy for Certified Social Workers, the National Association of Social Workers, and maintains a current license to practice clinical social work in the State of Florida.


John P. Frazier, L.C.S.W.

Mr. Frazier received his Master's in Social Work from Florida State University in 1979 and began his work in community mental health as an outpatient psychotherapist. He has spent the last twenty-five years as a full-time psychotherapist both in community mental health and private practice, and has extensive training in psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy along with all facets of family and couples work. He has expertise in providing therapeutic services for children and adolescents, and has also worked extensively with single parents and stepfamilies. He is very knowledgeable in the areas of fatherhood, ADHD, conduct disorders, depression and anxiety, and parenting. He is the author of a monthly newsletter entitled Personally Speaking that deals with children's and family issues, and which was distributed on a local basis for seven years. He currently maintains a private practice where he provides a full range of psychotherapeutic services for adults, children, couples, and families. Mr. Frazier is a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers and the National Association of Social Workers. He is also a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work and maintains a current license to practice clinical social work in the State of Florida.
